Cristina Blanaru wins bronze at European Judo Cup

Cristina Blanaru has won a bronze medal at the European Judo Cup held in Russia’s Orenburg. She scored three victories in the 52 kg class.

Cristina beat Russia’s Viktoria Vasilchenko and Tatiana Plotnikova, but in the semifinals was defeated by Ksenia Danilovici of Belarus. In the match for the bronze medal, Cristina Blanaru won against Austria’s Olivia Taroncher.

In the men’s competition, Victor Sterpu had the best performance. He ranked ninth in the 81kg class.
