A woman aged 63 from Tiraspol town of the Transnistrian region succumbed to the novel coronavirus. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection confirmed the death, saying that details will be provided later, IPN reports.
The facto ministry of the interior in Tiraspol said the woman was admitted to the infectious diseases hospital in Slobozia. She had bilateral pneumonia and suffered also from other diseases.
The authorities on the left side of the Nistru reported that 93 persons with COVID-19 are now treated at the hospital in Slobozia. Six infected persons are in intensive care, three of whom were put on a ventilator.
Five of the 30 persons who died from the COVID-19 in Moldova were from the Transnistrian region.
