During the last eight days, the novel coronavirus had shown optimistic dynamics as regards the management of the pandemic crisis, owing to the imposed restrictions and also to the responsibility of citizens, President Igor Dodon was quoted by IPN as saying on Monday.
The official stated that according to the scenarios formulated earlier, there will be about 3,000 confirmed cases of infection with COVID-19 in Moldova at end-April, but statistics are more optimistic and Moldova could be thus in a better situation than the forecast one.
Igor Dodon said that if the same dynamics persist, the authorities will lift some of the restrictions as regards economic activity at the end of April.
As many as 1,662 infections with COVID-19 have been confirmed in Moldova so far. Of these, 121 were imported, while the rest are local transmission cases.
