The novel coronavirus disease caused two new deaths in Moldova. A man from Briceni died at the Edineț District Hospital. The other person died in the Transnistrian region, IPN reports.
After the meeting of the Single Command Center for managing the COVID-19 pandemic, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu said the patient from Briceni wasn’t brought to Chisinau as the doctors considered this cannot be transported. The man had been isolated since he asked for medical assistance.
The minister confirmed the case of death recorded in the Transnistrian region on March 29.
As many as 55 new infections with COVID-19 were detected on March 30. Seven of these cases are of import, whereas 48 are of local transmission. There were processed 280 samples in total. Four more patients were discharged today. The number of cured persons thus rose to 22.
So far, the COVID-19 infection claimed four lives in Moldova, including the case reported in the Transnistrian region.
