A Chisinau-based business entity is to pay a fine of 160,000 lei in a case of smuggling of boilers. The Court also ordered to confiscate over 10 million lei from the company’s accounts for the benefit of the state.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases, the company was found guilty of smuggling central heating boilers and accessories to the value of 10.1 million lei into Moldova.
The sentence was passed by the Rascani branch of the Court of Chisinau and can be challenged in the Chisinau Appeals Court.
