Court examines application whereby Termocom demands that City Hall pays its failed income
The Chisinau District Economic Court is reconsidering the application whereby SA Termocom demands that the Chisinau City Hall pays to it 237 million lei that represents the incomes the heat supplier did not collect as the heating charge for 2006-2009 has not been adjusted.
At Monday’s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, the head of the Legal Division Diana Gurschi said that they will make an expert appraisement of the case, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“There was set up a commission headed by deputy mayor Mihai Furtuna. We formulated 16 questions that will be discussed by the expert commission,” Gurschi said.
The Chisinau City Hall now owes 97 million lei to SA Termocom. This sum represents the compensations for heat that the Chisinau Municipal Council pledged to pay to certain groups of people.
Under a phased debt payment timetable, the debt was to be settled din April. The head of the General Finance Division Maria Caraus has told Info-Prim Neo that the municipal authorities could not clear the debt as the collections into the budget are lower. She said that they will negotiate a new phased debt payment timetable.
The residents of Chisinau pay 540 lei per gigacalorie of heat. Last yearend, Termocom demanded that the heating tariff is raised to 842 lei per gigacalorie
