A man and a woman from Chisinau who formed a couple were arrested for 72 hours and face 15 to 20 years in prison for murder. In the evening of August 8, these stabbed a female drinking companion aged 52, head of the Chisinau Police Division’s press service Adrian Jovmir has told IPN.

The tragedy happened in an apartment on Ion Creanga St in Buiucani district of Chisinau close to midnight. The victim consumed alcoholic beverages together with the two, who were visiting her.

They got into a quarrel and the host was stabbed with a kitchen knife in the chest. When the woman’s partner came home, he found the women bleeding and called the police.

The suspects are held in a remand prison. The man is 59, while the woman is 56.
