Councilor accuses mayor of Cimișeni village of illegalities

Ilie Cazac, a local councilor of Cimișeni village of Criuleni district, accuses the locality’s mayor of illegalities. He said that violations were committed in the process of allocating public funds for repairing a central road and food products were appropriated from the local kindergarten.

In a news conference hosted by IPN, Ilie Cazac said that mayor Valentina Pisarenco won the elections by a narrow victory. She managed to obtain the seat of mayor by corrupting voters and by organizing the transportation of electors to polling stations.

The councilor noted that the road in the center of the village was to be paved. By the local council’s decision, the requirements were formulated and it was decided to allocate a sum of money. Ramps for persons with disabilities were to be built. But the relevant documents were falsified and money was allocated to business entities, not by the council’s decision, as the law provides. The time limits for repairing the road weren’t respected even if the money was transferred to the responsible businessman who is related to the mayor. Valentina Pisarenco dared to act like this because she enjoys the support of district heads.

“I sincerely and responsibly tell you that missis mayor stole as in the kolkhoz when the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party were in power,” stated Ilie Cazac.

The local councilor also accuses the mayor of going to the local kindergarten by the company car together with the chief accountant and of taking food products from this on the pretext of distributing them to socially deprived persons as food parcels during the pandemic. He went through the village and discussed with pensioners and these said that they didn’t get anything from the mayor’s office.

When the mayor learned that he was visiting pensioners, she went to the church and then presented a document showing that the products were handed over to the church. In fact, this is not true as the food products were appropriated by the two functionaries. “I have served as a local councilor elected by the people for 12 years. I’m a law-abiding citizen of Cimișeni village who must defend the interests of the citizens and see how the public funds are managed,” stated Ilie Cazac.

He also said that during three years, he has informed about the acts of corruption committed by the mayor and criminal cases were started but none of these was brought to an end. The councilor called on the administration of the National Anticorruption Center and the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office to examine this case and intervene.
