The Ministry of Economy worked out regulations concerning the deduction of costs incurred by employers for the transportation, feeding and professional training of employees. The document is to be approved by the Government in the near future, IPN reports.
The deductions are tax exemptions. They are taken away from the incomes. The remaining part represents the taxable income on which taxes are paid.
In a program on Radio Moldova, Deputy Minister of Economy Dumitru Hodoroga said that at the request of economic entities, the deduction of the given costs was included in the amendments to the Tax Code, which reflects the customs and tax policy for 2014.
“As a result of consultations held with representatives of business associations, it was decided to allocate 35 lei a day, without VAT, for food, and 25 lei a day for transport. These sums will be deducted. It is important that the deduction of costs for the professional training of employees is also allowed,” stated the official.
The Ministry of Economy, in concert with the Ministry of Finance, works to improve the regulations concerning the exemption from taxes of the equipment included in the registered capital of companies. “This concession has been restored this year, but the procedure needs to be reviewed. We plan that the relevant document will be ready at the start of February,” said the deputy minister.
The measures form part of the package of 44 proposals included in the roadmap for removing the constraints on businesses for 2013- 2014, which was approved by the executive last September.
The actions from this roadmap are closely connected with the measures from the roadmap for improving competitiveness. The objective of both of the documents is to help the economic entities to become competitive and to meet the EU market requirements.
