The border crossing points Cosauti-Iampoli and Soroca-Tsekinovka were reopened after being closed on June 30 owing to the rise in the level of water in the Nistru River, IPN reports.
The Customs Service and the Border Police said all the hovercraft border crossing points work as usual.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, the level of water in the Nistru on Moldova’s territory is expected to increase by over 1 meter until July 9 following the heavy rain and the rise in the volume of water discharged from the Dnestrovsk accumulation late to 1,000 m3/s. Floods are expected in the lower course of the river.
