Update /11am/: After a pause of several hours, the Cosăuți ferry border crossing point was reopened. Currently, all the customs posts work as usual.

The Cosăuți ferry border crossing point stopped work on a temporary basis following the rise in the level of water in the Nistru River. Travelers can use the Soroca ferry checkpoint or the Otaci motor crossing point, IPN reports, with reference to the Customs Service.
Contacted by IPN for details, Moldova’s Water Agency director Andrei Antonevici said the level of water in the Nistru rose owing to the recent rain, but the situation will normalize in at most two days.
