“Cosăuți” and “Soroca” border crossing points stop work

The ferry border crossing points “Soroca-Tsekinovka” and “Cosăuți-Iampoli” were closed on a temporary bases at 7am this morning owing to the rise in the level of water in the Nistru River, IPN reports.

The Border Police Service calls on the travelers to choose other border crossing points situated in the neighborhood, such as “Otaci-Moghileov-Podolsk”.

On May 10, following the rise in the level of water in the Nistru, the border crossing point “Cosăuți” was closed for several hours. Moldova’s Water Agency director Andrei Antonevici told IPN that the level of water increased owing to the recent rain, but the situation will normalize in at most two days.
