Corneliu Mihalache will return to the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) if Parliament supports the proposal of the commission on culture, education, research, youth, sport and the media. Alongside Corneliu Mihalache, the interview test was taken by candidates Iulian Roșca and Lidia Viziru, IPN reports.
The BCC members are named by Parliament decision at the suggestion of the specialized commission for a six-year term. The three posts of Council member fell vacant on November 16 following the expiry of the terms in office of Iurie Colesnic, Cristina Duca and Olga Barbălată.
The nine-member BCC is an autonomous public authority that regulates the broadcasting sector.
Corneliu Mihalache served on the BCC in 2006-2012, managing the Council. Lidia Viziru is the head of the BCC’s Licensing and Authorization Division, while Iulian Roșca heads the Council’s Law and Regulations Division.
