Corman to address European Parliament's foreign affairs committee

Moldovan Speaker Igor Corman will be in Bruxelles during February 17-19. One of the highlights of his visit will be an address to the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs, IPN reports.

“It's important now to sensitize all the political forces in the European Parliament so that, according to our expectations, this decision (on visa liberalization) is adopted in the Parliament by the end of February”, said Corman.

The Speaker will also meet with European Parliament President Martin Schulz and leaders of the Parliament's groups.

Commenting on the vote of the Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, which approved yesterday a report recommending waiving visas for the Moldovans, Igor Corman said it's a “good signal” which confirms that things are going according to plan.
