Corjova incident under scrutiny of Dubasari Prosecutor’s Office

The Prosecutor’s Office of Dubasari district launched an investigation into the incident that happened at the secondary school in Corjova village of Dubasari on September 1, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office. On September 1 in the morning, about 20 militiamen from Dubasari surrounded and checked the area adjoining the school in Corjova as it would have been mined. In an hour, the school was disconnected from the power supply and encircled by approximately 50 militiamen. When the school’s head Constantin Sucitu and his deputy Valeriu Caimacan attempted to hoist Moldova’s flag at the entrance to the building, a number of militiamen entered the school and blocked the ladder with the help of which the flag was to be fixed. According to the prosecutors, the steps taken by the Transnistrian militia were aimed at hindering the holding of the September 1 festivity at a Romanian language school, where the national anthem was to be played and the flag of Moldova was to be raised. The prosecutors say these persons violated the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution, including the right to assembly, and usurped the official quality.
