A copy of the prescription for compensated drugs will be given back to the recipient and will not be retained at the drugstore starting with October 1. This became possible following amendments to the Government Decision concerning the method of compensating drugs within the mandatory health insurance system, IPN reports.
In a press release, the National Health Insurance Company says the decision to give back a copy of the prescription to the patient was take because until now the person remained without information about the length, regularity and method of administering preparations when the prescription remained in drugstores. This influenced the efficiency and quality of treatment.
The prescription for compensated drugs is issued in three copies. The first copy is attached by the druggist to the report presented to the National Health Insurance Company. The second copy is returned to the recipient of compensated drugs, while the third copy remains at the doctor who prescribed the drug.
