Coordination Council for ensuring information security to be set up

A Coordination Council for ensuring information security will be founded in Moldova, as the Government decided on Wednesday. The initiative forms part of the national information security strategy for 2019-2024 and is aimed at ensuring a high level of information security and cybersecurity, IPN reports.

The Coordination Council will be a collective body with consultative and operational duties without legal personality. It will estimate the risks endangering information security at national level and will propose actions to solve the signaled incidents.

The Council will play four main roles: cybernetic, operational, media and civic-private. Its members will be representatives of legal personalities of public and private law who will come together for ordinary and extraordinary meetings.
