Rosian Vasiloi, the head of the Border Police, has ordered the new Chisinau-Airport border point management team to elaborate and adopt, as soon as possible, the new activity scheme of the border point. In a press conference, Rosian Vasiloi said that, over the course of two months, since he took over the IGPF leadership, he has detected several irregularities in the Border Police activity at this crossing point.

According to Rosian Vasiloi, the Airport Border Police only undertook activities related to the control of the state border crossing point, while it also had to check aircraft and other means of transportation. On July 19, Rosian Vasiloi ordered the re-introduction of border police patrols that ensure the control of the means of transportation, including aircraft.

Additionally, according to the head of the IGPF, the irregular financing of the activity of the crossing point by some economic agents was detected. At the same time, some of the control booths were not provided with the necessary equipment, which created impediments in the work flow of passenger processing. Thus, the Airport Border Police was equipped with 25 new computers, one for each control room. In addition, the equipment that ensures travel documents verification and access to the necessary information systems was upgraded in order to meet national and international standards.

Rosian Vasiloi claims that occurrences when appointed employees did not come to work were registered at this border point. "While being abroad, they fill in all the necessary worksheets and they receive a salary", said the IGPF chief.

The IGPF head added stated that the Customs Service, the Information and Security Service and the economic operator managing the airport have all agreed that the legislation on state border, civil aeronautics and airport security will be fully implemented and respected, without  third party interference, as it has previously occurred.
