Democratic MP Sergiu Sarbu said the government managed to do a lot for the people, while Liberal-Democratic MP Tudor Deliu considers the people are no longer happy with the government’s work. The issue was discussed in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.
“We managed to ensure political stability and adopted a number of important laws during a very short period of time. We are now to implement these laws. A lot of work is to be done, but the population will feel the effects of reforms. We have a lot to work on the reformation on the justice sector, but things started. Nobody thought five years ago that 4% of the judges can be arrested. But it was shown that this is possible,” stated Sergiu Sarbu.
Tudor Deliu contradicted the Democratic MP, saying the people do not live better. “It is fashionable in our country to use statistical data, but the number of laws passed in Parliament does not represent the life quality parameters. Our people think what to eat tomorrow. I want to say that many things were done in 2009-2014 to improve the quality of life. The Republic of Moldova benefitted from enormous financing. Roads, schools and kindergartens were repaired. The salaries and pensions were raised. Things started to develop. If the events of 2014 hadn’t occurred, we would have lived better now,” he stated.
