The National Agency for Energy Regulation approved the contracts for the purchase of electricity between SA “Energocom”, ICS “Premier Energy”, ICS “ Premier Energy Distribution” SA, IS “Moldelectrica”, SA “Red Nord” and SA “FEE-Nord”, IPN reports.
The price of 1 kWh of power is US$0.0499 or by 9% less than in 2019. The contracts are valid for a period of three months, between April 1 and June 30 inclusive.
Under the March 24 ordinance of the Commission for Exceptional Situations, which allowed for derogations from the principles of transparency and non-discrimination when signing contracts, which were set down in the Law on Electrical Energy, a special procedure was instituted for purchasing electricity during the state of emergency.
The obligation of public electric power supply service was imposed on the joint stock company “Energocom”. The company will satisfy all the needs of the regulated power suppliers, distribution system operators, the transmission system operator and other participants in the electric power market, from one source, during three months, with the possibility of extending the period.
