The Public Property Agency has launched a contest to choose the private partner that will construct a parking garage at the Chisinau International Airport, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Agency. The building of the parking garage, near the passenger terminal, is stipulated in the plan for modernizing the airport’s infrastructure. There will be constructed a parking garage of at least 700 places and an area of at least 7 500 square meters instead of the existing garage that is managed by the airport. The project will be financed according to the BOT principles (Build-Operate-Transfer). The private partner will be able to develop the parking garage’s infrastructure – hotel, fast food restaurant and other commercial services. When the contract expires, in at most 20 years, the partner will transfer the garage, without debts and in a functional state. The construction works must start within 12 months of the signing of the contract. The applicants must prove that they meet the conditions as regards the experience, personnel and financial capacity. The contest documents can be obtained at the Chisinau International Airport, situated at 80/3 Dacia Blvd., for a payment of €300 or the equivalent in lei or convertible currently. The offers will be accepted within 60 calendar days of the publication of the information in the Official Gazette. More details will be available in the November 25 number of the Official Gazette.
