The commission for conferring the National Award initiated the process of selecting nominees for the award as part of this year’s edition of the contest. Letters of recommendation can be presented until July 17, IPN reports.

The files of candidates or groups of candidates who will pass the letters examination stage will be submitted between July 22 and July 26. The scientific works will have to be presented in the original and the candidates or groups of candidates for the National Award must be authors or co-authors of these.

The persons who hold the National Award or the State Award and the works or parts of works that were awarded at the previous editions of the contest are not eligible. One person cannot be simultaneously included into several groups of applicants.

The National Award consists of a diploma, a medal and a money award to the value of 100,000 lei. The Government annually confers up to ten National Awards in the events held to celebrate the Independence Day.
