Contest to choose “Youth Capital 2019”

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research has launches a contest to choose the “Youth Capital 2019”. The competition is open to the local public authorities of the first level that need to present an ambitious program for involving and developing the youth. The localities of Chisinau municipality and those that held the status of “Youth Capital” in 2016, 2017 and 2018 cannot take part, IPN reports.

The program “Youth Capital” is an initiative borrowed from the European Youth Forum and implies the selection of a locality where the local public authorities, regional and national NGOs and international organizations will concentrate youth activities during a year.

The application file must contain the application form, a written statement of financial support from the local public administration for implementing the measures, partnership agreements and the document by which the local program coordinator is designated. The file can be submitted on paper to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research at 1 Great National Assembly Square, third floor, office 335, or electronically to the email address vetlana.savitchi@mecc.gov.md, by September 26, 2018.

An information session will be held on August 14 this year for the local public authorities of the first level that intend to take part in the contest. 

The “Youth Capital” in 2016 was Ialoveni, in 2017 –  Varnita, while in 2018 – Cahul.
