The Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” (TRM) failed again to elect the director of Radio Moldova on June 5, TRM says on its website.
None of the candidates who took part in the contest managed to poll the necessary number of votes. The Supervisory Board’s head Ludmila Vasilache said the Board will stage a new contest to fill the vacancy.
The post of director of the national radio station fell vacant in February, when the term in office of Alexandu Dorogan expired. Six persons applied for this post, namely Veaceslav Gheorghishenko, Alexandru Dorogan, Eduard Maciac, Stefan Secareanu, Adrian Petcu, and Nicu Scorpan.
IPN reminds that this was the second attempt to choose the director of Radio Moldova, after the first attempt of April 24.
