The Educational Advising Center has announced the launch of the contest of scholarships for professional development 2018-2019. The projects offers 80 scholarships to the value of 12,000 lei each on a contest basis, IPN reports.
There will be provided 40 scholarships to beneficiaries of the project of the previous edition and another 40 scholarships to the other candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. The scholarship will cover current expenses related to studying, such as housing, meals, books and supplies. It is offered for a period of 10 months, with possibility of renewal, on a competitive basis, for the next year of study, if the scholars successfully finished the previous year of study and if the partner of the project decides to finance the project next year too.
To take part in the contest, the candidates must be first-year students at vocations schools, colleges or centers of excellence in Moldova and be from socially deprived families, with modest incomes, from incomplete families and families with three and more minor children, under tutelage, without parental care, etc. They should also have a good academic standing and an average grade of at least 7,50 at the contest for admission to the vocational school, college or center of excellence and should show they take part in academic and extracurricular activities (optional).
