The Moldovan young people aged between 16 and 30 with special achievements in different areas can apply to take part in the contest “National Youth Award” that was launched on September 19, IPN reports.
The contest is held annually, on the occasion of the National Youth Day that is marked on the second Sunday of November. Each award consists of 12,000 lei.
The contest has two nominations: “National Youth Award” and “National Award for Youth Sector Development”. Applications can be filed to the Ministry of Youth and Sport, located at 162 Stefan cel Mare Blvd, by October 15.
The contest to choose the National Youth Capital 2017 was also launched today. This is an initiative borrowed from the European Youth Forum and envisions the selection of a Moldovan town where the youth activities of the local public authorities, regional and national NGOs, international organizations and central public authorities are concentrated during a year.
The contest is open to mayor’s offices and local town councils, except for the municipality of Chisinau and the towns Ialoveni and Sangerei, which had been Youth Capitals during the last two years. Submissions are accepted until October 21 and will be assessed by a joint commission consisting of members of civil society and central public authorities.
