Contest for young instrumentalists in memory of late Antonina Lucinschi opened

The third National Contest for Young Instrumentalists in memory of the departed Antonina Lucinschi has been opened. The Laureate Gala will take place on September 13, when the second first lady of Moldova was born, Info-Prim Neo reports. “As it is already the third edition, we can say that the contest became a tradition. I thank the organizers for promoting talents by this contest,” the former president Petru Lucinschi said. “I’m glad that to see these children who need hope. They say that the talent must be developed. Therefore, we must invest in these children. The jury includes the best musicians and composers of our country.” Larisa Zubcu, the director of the Organ Hall, said that this competition aims to discover new talents, especially in rural areas. “In Chisinau, the children can participate in the contest and have musical instruments, but in other settlements they do not have many possibilities of asserting themselves. That’s why we want to bring these talents to Chisinau and support them.” Jana Tudose, the musical secretary of the Organ Hall, said that Antonina Lucinschi was the initiator and soul of the Foundation “Hope Crocuses” and she supported and promoted Moldovan talented children. Thirty-five contenders will take part in the competition this year. The preliminary stages of the contest are held at the Music College “Stefan Neaga”, the Arts School “Alexei Starcea” and the Music Lyceum “Serghei Rahmaninov”. The award ceremony and the gala concert will take place at the Organ Hall. The National Contest for Young Instrumentalists “Antonina Lucinschi” is organized by the FILANTROP Club, the Women’s Organizations Forum and the National Delphic Committee.
