Contest for Merit Scholarships 2018 launched

The Educational Advising Center has announced the launch of the 23rd edition of the Merit Scholarship Program that is intended for the best students of the country. A number of 50 stipends of 12 000 Moldovan lei each are offered on a contest basis within the program, IPN reports, quoting the Center.

Of the 50 stipends, 35 are designed for last year undergraduate students and 15 for first year graduate students.

To take part in the contest, the students must have a good academic standing and an average grade for all the years of studies higher than 9 in humanities, 8.5 in exact, technical and medical-biological sciences and 8 in the case of students with disabilities and/or orphans. They should also demonstrate that they took part in curricular and extra-curricular activities (mandatorily). In the case of graduate students, the general average grade in the bachelor’s diploma will be taken into account

The deadline for applications is December 17, 2018, 5pm. The application form and regulations of the program can be found on the website of the Educational Advising Center.

The program is organized under the aegis of the Council of Chancellors of Moldova, with the financial support of a commercials bank and a mobile phone carrier.
