The contemporary dance troupe “Voices” marks its tenth jubilee, Info-Prim Neo reports. The anniversary performance „Ever Moving On” will take place in the evening on Saturday, February 23, at the „Ginta Latină” Arts Centre. According to organisers, the show is conceived as a review of the troupe’s 10 years of performance, as a compilation of their best works, as a selection of thoughts, experiences, emotions the dancers have had during all this period. The artists’ friends, the singers Natalia Barbu, Geta Burlacu, Dorel Burlacu, Gari Tverdohleb, Daniil Belkin, Nicolae Sarbuşcă, will join the show. The “Voices” troupe was created in 1997 as an idea of the theatrical choreographer Angela Donii. The ensemble has over 30 performances in its repertoire, as they are frequent guests of one of the most prestigious dance festivals in the former Soviet area, as well as in Western and Eastern Europe. Over time more dancers came in and went out of the troupe, yet its nucleus remained steady: Alexandra Soşnikova and Serghei Golovnea. For a while, after Angelei Donii left for Moscow, „Voices” meant but this duet of dancers and choreographers. Today there are six more dancers in the group in addition to those two leaders, and namely Olga Braga, Taras Covali, Serghei Petraşco and Vladimir Palamarciuc. „Voices” are also the animators of the unique modern dance international festival from Moldova, already at its 5th edition. Alexandra Soşnikova and Serghei Golovnea are the supervisors of the „Fantezia” contemporary and national dance school from Chişinău. In 2007, Alexandra Soşnikova, Serghei Golovnea and Olga Braga represented Moldova, together with the singer Natalia Barbu, at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki. This year they are going to accompany Geta Burlacu in Belgrade, at Eurovision 2008.
