Installed a year ago in four parks of Chisinau, the special containers for the excrement of pets are used inappropriately. Some of the persons continue to use them as garbage bins. Other people became more responsible and use them for the right purpose, Vasile Efros, head of the Cleanup and Territorial Development Division of the Public Amenities Division, stated for said IPN.

For pet owners, there were set up about 20 such contains, in the parks “Valea Morilor”, “Valea Trandafirilor”, “Râșcani” and in the square on Miron Costin St.

Given the pandemic, when a part of the allocations were redirected to the fight against the novel coronavirus, the number of these containers will not be increased now. The citizens of Chisinau are urged not to vandalize these public goods and to use them for the right purpose.

Under the Contravention Code, the violation of the rules of keeping dogs, cats and other pets is punished with warning or with a fine of 150 to 300 lei in the case of legal entities and with a fine of 600 to 1,200 lei in the case of persons holding responsible posts.
