The consumers could be penalized if they do not take the receipt after shopping or when paying for particular services. The receipt must be kept until the person leaves the commercial unit or service delivery unit that issued it and can present it at the request of the inspection body. Under the bill to amend and supplement a number of legal acts concerning the fiscal, budgetary and customs policy for 2016, the fine is 60 lei, IPN reports.
As it was repeatedly noted by the competent public authorities and civil society organizations, a purchase in the absence of the sales slip means passive dispossession of the budget of money that can increase the amount of collected taxes and tacit contribution to tax evasion.
In Romania, if an economic entity refuses to issue or hand over the sales slip to the consumer, the latter has the right to benefit from the purchase good or provided service without paying its equivalent value.
The content of the announcement that the economic entities using cash registers are obliged to place will be modified. This refers to economic entities that run restaurants, shops, bars and currency exchange facilities and to those that provide transportation services, including by taxi. These companies not always issue a receipt, but will be obliged to do it as the sales slips are a guarantee that the taxes are paid and are collected into the state budget.
