Consultative Group on trade and consumer protection created

The Ministry of Economy set up a Consultative Group on trade, quality infrastructure and consumer protection, whose aim will be to organize a platform for communication and promotion of partnership in decision making between the Ministry of Economy, the NGOs and the business sector in the mentioned areas, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry. The members of the group will take part in all the stages of the process of drafting and implementing policies. They will also make recommendations and provide solutions for modernizing the institutional framework of the metrology and standardization system and will offer the necessary support for developing it. The Consultative Group consists of 21 members representing the Ministry of Economy, the Consumer Protection Agency, and the National Standardization and Metrology Centers situated in Balti and Ceadir-Lunga. It will also include representatives of the national product quality verification centers, and the Association of Importers and Exporters of Moldova. The group will be headed by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar. The first meeting of the Consultative Group will take place on February 2.
