The special envoy of Russia’s foreign ministry, Valery Nesterushkin, took part in the the consultations held in Chisinau and Tiraspol concerning the Transnistria settlement. According to Russia’s MFA, the discussions focused on the present situation of the settlement process, as well as on the prospects of resuming the talks in the 5+2 format. Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration made no comment on the respective consultations.
