The consultations on the formation of a parliamentary majority for investing a new Government are for now held between the leaders of the three pro-European parties – the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party, the deputy head of the PLDM Valeriu Strelet said within a public event, quoted by IPN.
“We understood that this week the Liberal Party will make public its definitive decision and the negotiations will be held in a technical format already,” stated Vaeriu Strelet.
At the beginning of last week, the leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat made a public call to start the negotiations on the formation of a parliamentary coalition between the pro-European parties and to invest a new Government. President Nicolae Timofti invited all the parliamentary factions to discussions. After such a discussion, the Liberal leader Mihai Ghimpu said he feels he should not return to government, but there is now no other way out and he will provide an answer as to the formation of a coalition this week.
