The Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Padua, Italy, becomes Consulate General. The government has approved a draft decision on the change of class, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this initiative aims to optimize the work of the consular mission and increase the efficiency of the services provided to Moldovan citizens in the region.

Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the importance of this step in the context of strengthening Moldovan-Italian relations and the authorities' commitment to provide quality consular services to Moldovan citizens settled in Italy.
