Consular Section of Romania’s Embassy in Chisinau resumes work

The Consular Section of the Embassy of Romania in Chisinau gradually resumes work as of May 18. At the first stage, there will be issued travel documents (passports) and civil status documents (birth and marriage certificates) based on earlier submitted applications. No new applications will be accepted for now, if only in emergencies, IPN reports.

Romania’s Embassy in Chisinau said that to protect the visitors and consular personnel, the recommendations of the Romanian and Moldovan authorities concerning the protective measures should be mandatorily observed. Only the persons without disease symptoms, such as high fever, coughing and rhinorrhea, will be allowed access. Among other mandatory conditions are the maintaining of physical distance of at least 1.5 m and wearing of protective masks.

At most four persons will be allowed to enter the waiting room. Only minors will be allowed to be accompanied.

The program for the issuing of documents is from Monday through Friday, between 08:30am and 12:30pm and between 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
