The construction works on certain blocks of flats from Liviu Deleanu Street in Chisinau carried out by the National Housing Agency have been temporarily stopped. Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca issued an ordinance to suspend the construction works and the validity of the construction authorisation No.933 of December 12, 2006. According to the Chisinau City Hall’s PR Division, the decision was made following infringements of the conditions stipulated in the Chisinau Municipal Council’s decision No. 43/1 of March 16, 2006 regarding the displacement of the pipes going near the building sites and the failure to present the documents requested by the local public authorities in a letter of May 24, 2007. The construction works will be resumed and the construction authorisation renewed after the mentioned conditions are fulfilled. The Buiucani District Office, the Police Commissariat of Buiucani District, the General Division of Architecture, Urbanism and Land Relations and the Construction Authorisation Division will monitor how the mayor general’s order is carried out.
