Construction of water supply system in Hancesti will continue

About 26 million lei will be allocated from the National Ecological Fund for continuing the construction of the water supply system that goes through 11 localities of Hancesti district. The decision to allocate the money was taken in the July 9 meeting of the Fund’s Administration Board, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, when the water supply system is finished, about 17,000 inhabitants of the villages Nemteni, Obileni, Cateleni, Ivanovca, Sarateni, Leuseni, Onesti, Strambeni, Costesti and Bujor could be connected to high quality running water.

The allocated money will be used to purchase the technological equipment needed for water adduction services in the mentioned villages and to build a pumping station and a Prut water treatment station.

The project to build the water supply system in localities situated near the Prut River, to the value of 72 million lei, was initiated in 2014. The works carried out so far were financed with 22.6 million lei. Now there will be allotted 26 million lei, while the rest of the sum will be provided when the current stage of the project is completed, for finishing works.
