The construction of the high pressure gas main Tocuz-Cainari-Mereni has been completed and is ready to be put into use, stated Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Vladimir Antosii during a field trip at the site. In his words, the 62.5 kilometres long gas main, with a conveyance capacity of 800 million cubic meters per year, significantly increases the level of provision with gas of consumers and opens new opportunities for the development of the country’s energy security. President Vladimir Voronin appreciated the fact that the gas main was built is a very short period of time. The head of state qualified the facility as a strategic one for the country, which will fully meet the demand for gas of the capital city and a number of localities in the districts of Anenii Noi, Causeni and Ialoveni.
