Constitutionals Court to examine CEC report on election outcome July 23

The Constitutionals Court on July 23 will examine the Central Election Commission’s report on the results of the snap parliamentary elections of July 11 for validating the elections and the seats of elected MPs, IPN reports.

Only invited persons will have access to the meeting hall of the Constitutional Court. After the decision is made public, the Court’s president Domnica Manole will give a press briefing.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) on July 19 approved the report on the results of the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, 2021 and submitted it to the Constitutional Court for the validation of the election outcome, the seats of MP and the list of substitute candidates. The CC validates or invalidates the elections within five days, but not before all the election-related challenges filed to courts are definitively solved.
