The Constitutional Court (CC) of Moldova will be able to pronounce on the legality of the presidential runoff and its outcome after all the complaints submitted to common law courts are examined. All the complaints concerning electoral violations will be deal with exclusively by common law courts because this is not within the competence of the Constitutional Court, IPN reports, quoiting the Court.
The CC said that in accordance with the Election Code, the Central Election Commission tabulates the election results and presents the relevant report to the Constitutional Court for confirmation within three days of the signing of the report.
Within ten days of the receipt of the report from the CEC, but not before all the complaints filed to court are examined in accordance with the legal provisions, the CC validates or invalidates the elections.
