The Constitutional Court on April 11 validated the seat of MP of Vadim Vacarciuc, who is the next substitute candidate on the list of the Liberal Party. Vadim Vacarciuc replaces Victor Popa, who was named as constitutional judge, Info-Prim Neo reports.

Vadim Vacarciuc, 41, is a professional weightlifter. He took part in the Olympic Games for four times in a row. In 1996 and 2000, he carried Moldova’s flag at the Olympics. Now he serves as deputy head of the Liberal Party’s local organization in Balti.

The Liberal Party has 12 representatives in Parliament.
