The Constitutional Court on February 27 will decide whether to validate or not the seat of MP of the substitute candidate of the Democratic Party Valeriu Tabuica. The request was made by the Central Election Commission following the resignation tendered by former Democratic lawmaker Valeriu Guma, IPN reports.

Valeriu Tabuica, 48, is the director of Vista-Const SRL based in Ocnita town.

On February 13, Valeriu Guma announced that he decided to vacate his seat of MP and to withdraw from the Democratic Party so as to offer no possibility to those who want to use his name in order to attack the party.

The Democratic Party has 16 representatives in Parliament.
