This coming Monday, the Constitutional Court will resume hearing the Government’s complaint that seeks to outlaw the Shor Party as “unconstitutional”.

The June 12 sitting is slated to start at 10:00 AM. Only invited persons will have access to the courtroom. Media representatives and interested persons will be able to watch the hearing livestream on Constitutional Court’s website.

The examination, which began on May 10, was adjourned on May 17 to allow both sides time to prepare their pleadings before the Court. According to the Government, there are reasons to believe the Shor Party “has acted in violation of principles of the rule of law and in a way that imperils the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova”. The Shor Party denounces the accusations as “political persecution”.
