Constitutional Court to pronounce on time frame for election head of state
The Constitutional Court on February 8 is to examine the application concerning the period during which the President of Moldova should be elected, filed by Communist MPs. The hearing is set to stat at 10.00, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Communist lawmakers Sergiu Sarbu and Artur Reshetnikov submitted the application on January 24. They requested the court to specify if the time frame stipulated in Article 90 of the Constitution – two months of the date when the post of head of state falls vacant – is applicable when the post is held on an interim basis.
