The Central Election Commission will request the Constitutional Court to validate the seat of MP of Veaceslav Nedelea, who is a substitute candidate on the list of the Democratic Party. Such a decision was taken in the May 4 meeting of the Commission, IPN reports.

The seat of MP was declared vacant after last week this was left by Nicolai Dudoglo, who also left the Democratic Party. The party’s administration asked that this should choose between membership in the party and the status of founder of the public organization “New Gagauzia”.

The parliamentary group of the Democratic Party now has 40 members. Veaceslav Nedelea will be the 41st MP of the party. After the legislative elections of 2014, the PDM obtained 19 seats of MP.
