Constantin Ursu is the only Moldovan boxer who remained to compete at the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships held in the Italian city of Rozeto, IPN reports.

The pugilist from Chisinau beat a Dutch boxer and an Italian one before reaching the quarterfinals of the 64 kg weight class. Tudor Ciobanu’s pupil will now face a French boxer, on April 22.

At the European Under 18 Championships, Moldova was also represented by: Dumitru Macaria (49 kg), Danila Nicitenca (52 kg), Anton Nicitenca (56 kg), Victor Canapliov (60 kg) Nicolae Bucsa (69 kg), Andrei Kiriakov (75 kg) and Igor Radionov (+91 kg). The competition ends on April 26.
