If the team of PPPDA goes till the end and transposes to legal norms what it started, the life of the Moldovan citizens will change essentially as the spirits in society, in political parties will change, ex-deputy prime minister Constantin Oboroc, former presidential adviser, stated in a news conference at IPN. He made reference to one of the PPPDA’s commitments in the current election campaign – to ensure the presidents of political parties are elected by secret ballot.
According to him, the people who share a party’s values and principles should be able to come and distinguish themselves at any political party, either the political leader of the party likes it or not.
“These people, promoting and starting the path of democratization of political parties, will go till the end and this exercise, of voting inside political parties, should be as strictly monitored as the parliamentary and local elections are,” stated Constantin Oboroc
The principle of selection by secret ballot will reach the local level too. Moreover, candidates for elections will be put forward in a secret way. This will become a norm that will change things. Until now, the more powerful and brighter was the display of fireworks, the more seriously the people’s sense of judgment was darkened. We should realize this.”
Constantin Oboroc noted that if the proposals formulated by PPPDA are not put into practice, difficult times will follow because the backsliding that can be witnessed will lead to very serious consequences. The team of PPPDA should enter Parliament and should finish the started cases. Those to blame should be held accountable and this commitment should end with a constitutional norm that will become a norm of life in a normal country.
