The Conservative Party (PC) does not recognize the results of the April 5 elections and considers it's necessary to check the voters lists and to recount the ballots. The party made public its position on Thursday in a news conference hosted by Info-Prim Neo. “The public resources have been fraudulently used, the ruling party has been favored by the public broadcasters, and other stations enjoying national coverage as EU TV, NIT, Antena C and N4,” said Natalia Nirca, the PC president. “Pressure has been exercised over voters and electoral contestants. The Conservative Party was subjected to pressure hardly to imagine in the election race, as member of this party was arrested for drugs smuggling right after the party registered to enter the race,” Nirca said. Other deviation spoken about by the PC were not ensuring the right to vote for Transnistrian citizens, the shortage of polling stations for citizens from abroad, allowing sick people to vote after being instructed by doctors to vote for the Communists Party. Speaking about the April 6-7 protests, Natalia Nirca regrets “the outbreak of a natural reaction of the youths toward the election results into acts of vandalism.” “Certainly those actions were smartly orchestrated by the special services with the goal to disperse the attention from rigging the vote,” the PC president said. Referring to creating the new government, the PC leader thinks “that the most correct decision is that the opposition parties entering the parliament should not take their mandate in order to provoke repeated elections.” “The opposition parties to enter the parliament have not expressed their stand clearly. Unfortunately the leaders of those parties display an arrogant conduct,” she said. According to data of the Central Election Commission, the Conservative Party gained 0.29% of votes.
