The Conservative Party (PC) welcomes the investiture of the Filat Government and the approval of the government program, the party says in a communique, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. “We are aware that it is a long-expected and very important moment as the coalition forces assumed joint responsibility for the governance, for the efficient work of the new Executive, in the people's interests and in accordance with the norms of parliamentary democracy. We want to believe that the new Cabinet will take the new internal cohesion test and will show ability to mobilize the available potential, which, we must admit, does not fully meet the society's expectations,” the communique says. The PC wishes good luck to the new government and expresses its hope that the new governmental team will manage to revive the economy ruined under Communist rule and will make the changes expected by the Moldovan society. The party considers that the fate of the future parliamentary elections and of the Voronin clan depend on the success of this government. “We are ready to actively engage in the economic recovery process, but reserve the right to strictly monitor the government's work and to constructively criticize it as, in the present situation, not even the smallest mistakes, hesitations and excuses can be accepted,” the party says. The PC calls on the new government to show perseverance, tenacity, determination, openness and tolerance for the constructive criticism and suggestions. “We wish you good luck in the ambitious and very difficult task of returning things to normality.”
